Supplier Development Manager

Regular Full-Time


• Manage workload to ensure the needs of users are met – Vendor setups, Credit holds, deposits.
• Create scaleable Education Program demonstrating the advantages to users for using Supplier Alliance Partners.
• Develop negotiation skill sets of organization to effectively address credit hold, deposit and C.O.D. requests
• Increase the usage of Supplier Alliance Partners by creating compelling reasons to choose these Suppliers
• Negotiate increasingly advantageous Preferred Distributor programs with Supplier base.
• Manage execution of Preferred Distributor programs.
• Build and execute tools as needed to fulfill ease of process needs of users.
• Identify and resolve major disconnects between BD&A and Supplier Base.
• Maintain Vendor records and files.
• Examine and revise Vendor Set up process as needed to ensure ease of process.
• Establish consistent Criteria for Supplier Rankings and communicate to organization.
• Develop metrics for Supplier Alliance usage.
• Develop metrics and act on opportunities of Supplier Performance – Supplier Report Cards, Profitability analysis.
• Execute Annual Supplier Alliance Fair
• Supplier Services Special Projects.


Experience Requirements
• Four Year Degree preferred
• Previous Buying experience
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
• Advanced Retail Math Skill level
• Previous experience managing a Vendor base preferred
