This leadership position is responsible for improving the performance of BDA inventory through constant analysis of inventory metrics, SKU optimization, and program assortment. The position must have strong analytical skills, a process engineering mindset, a love for documentation of process flows and training documentation. The individual in this position must display a positive and energetic demeanor while working in a complex and dynamic business environment, and must thrive under the pressures imposed by multi-tasking.


  • Set department goals and objectives in alignment with company’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance for the direction of the product development strategies through analysis of sales history.
  • Assign programs to other analysts ensuring they continually analyze and improve key objectives in relation to gross margin, inventory turn, SKU count, and in-stock rates. Analyze the success of each individual SKU to determine the most appropriate status (run out, markdown, carry over, etc.)
  • Actively partner with product developers to reduce SKU count within each program and category without negatively impacting sales.
  • Develop sales projections for new program items based on comparable items.
  • Determine the most successful and profitable price for each item in each program. Facilitate the pricing meeting for senior management approval of program pricing.
  • Oversee and manage the procurement milestones for program launches to insure on-time competition.
  • Development and management of the Costing and Pricing document and the data and reporting necessary to complete the document. Uploading as needed, sending reports to PD and Purchasing as needed for data verification. Writing change orders when necessary, transmitting to appropriate department for processing, once change order is completed, verify data was successfully updated before notifying rest of team that we can proceed to the next step.
  • Work with Sr Director of Supply Chain Operations and Purchasing Manager on large scope departmental projects, i.e. RFP’s, RFI’s, Market Baskets, NBD projects.
  • Work within cross functional teams to ensure goal alignment, ease of process, profitability, and ultimate customer satisfaction.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of purchasing, inventory management and data analysis experience.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of professional analysts.
  • Strong tactical negotiations skills.
  • Mastery of inventory management principals and tools including demand forecasting
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and to adapt to frequently changing priorities and critical deadlines.
  • Team player with experience working in a cross-functional environment.
  • Professional demeanor, good judgment, common sense, and a passion for details.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate situations, identify core issues, fact-find, and promote thoughtful business solutions
  • Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, and Oracle EBS.
