  • Overview


    The Key Account Planner will be responsible for supporting all Key Account Managers and Account Managers in the Power A team, from the standpoint of product, pricing, and promotional communication.

    The Key Account Planner will manage day-to-day information flow in and among the Sales Team, and advise KAM’s / AM’s of all product changes, pricing updates, promotional planning, and forecast needs.

    This role will work closely with the Sr. Director of Sales & Marketing, and be a liaison between not only Sales personnel, but also Product Development, Demand Planning, Licensing, and Marketing, on behalf of the Sr. Director.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Building more efficient and effective communication channels among the teams / functional areas
      • Creating a repository for information as each launch season gets built out
      • Working with Marketing to maximize the Sales output of critical trade shows and events
      • Weekly follow up with Creative to assess status of sales-initiated product and/or design briefs
      • Gathering and Consolidating samples for all Key Account meetings, and coordinating sample deliveries to & from various locations
      • Shepherding various Sales agreements through the proper channels and constituents within CPD
      • Implementing and managing a regular cadence of Sales Team calls
      • Consolidating and managing the Sales Team’s calendar with input from the Team
      • Review of certain forecast documents, promotional plans, etc. as a “second set of eyes”
      • Understanding of the goals of each Key Account, and requisite Account Plans
    • Work with management, internal departments and sales coordinators - directing projects and workflow
    • Work with Product Development group and purchasing to ensure quality and timeliness of product samples
    • Understand financial aspects of sales role, retailer plan-o-grams, sales reports, sell through numbers, etc.
    • Encourage overall client relations by exhibiting high levels of customer service - both internal and external - to ensure smooth operations and happy customers
    • Maintain ease of process and high levels of professionalism when interacting with BDA employees as well as the client, while allowing for flexibility and change within the office and client’s needs
    • Other job duties and projects as assigned

    Experience Requirements

    • 3+ years experience in account management OR Customer Service / sales support
    • Understanding of product development, distribution, and sales process
    • Excellent customer service and client relationship building skills
    • Consumer Products experience preferred
