    Our talented Program Merchandising Group within BDA— develops, designs, and sources for 25+ Fortune 500 clients. From classic to stylish, this team is shaping the styles and looks our clients love for their brand.  An effective Apparel Designer is experienced, results-oriented and views the business through the lens of the client.


    • design trend forward athleisure apparel work workout studios
    • Work directly with factories to source fabrics and trims
    • take a color pallette and translate into multiple deisgns that hit different pricepoints, body types and consumers
    • Extensive graphic design experience especially for retail
    • be able to translate specific sewing details and techniques to factories in order to get the correct product designed quickly
    • ability to know custom perfomance fabrics
    • ability to competitive shop for a broad look at the landscape and create unique designs
    • present solutions to client on an ongoing basis
    • ability to work to a calendar of deliverables
    • work with a tech designer for tech pack creation- defining fabrics, colors, etc.
    • attend sample fittings to advise updates or changes
    • make reccomentations to improve products while keeping pricing and timing in mind

    Experience Requirements

    • 2-4 years Custom Apparel Design Expereince including developing graphics

    Job Skills and Traits:

    • Must demonstrate working knowledge of designing to a price point
    • Confidence and Ability to articulate and sell a concept to a business team
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Ability to build strong vendor partnerships.
    • Ability to multi task in high pressure, fast moving environment
    • Experience initiating, recommending and implementing merchandise strategies
    • Strong organization skills and ability to maintain database
    • Strong understanding of and ability to apply market intelligence
    • Understanding of retail and the service environment
    • Fluency in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
    • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
